Dr. Sam bought the hospital in 2010 after practicing for many years in Ft Worth. After selling the clinic in 2017, he worked part-time beside his daughter, Dr. Lauren, giving all of the patients and clients the best care until his retirement from veterinary medicine in 2020.

Meet Dr. Lauren! She has been with Cornerstone since 2011 and purchased the practice from her father in 2017. Dr. Lauren completed her undergraduate studies at Tarleton and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Texas A&M in 2008. She is passionate about ensuring every client feels heard and every patient feels safe and cared for. One of her favorite things about the clinic is the strong bond shared among the team, making it feel like a second home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son and attending his sporting events.
