Laura
Kennel Manager / Receptionist
Meet Laura! If you’ve been to Cornerstone, you’ve likely met her. Laura has an infectious positive attitude and treats every pet like her own. She has been with Cornerstone since 2011 and enjoys connecting with clients and their pets. As Kennel Manager and receptionist, she helps keep the clinic running smoothly and in top shape. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her many animals.
Leah
Receptionist
Meet Leah! She has been part of the Cornerstone family since the days of Dr. Sam and, after a short break, has returned to the team. Leah works as a receptionist and enjoys building strong relationships with clients and their pets. When she’s not at work, you can find her at local garage sales or enjoying a good book.
Deanna
Director of Administration
Meet Deanna! Deanna has been a part of the Cornerstone family since 2010 and serves as the Director of Administration. She manages all finance-related responsibilities and ensures the clinic’s systems and equipment run smoothly. Known for her kindness and problem-solving skills, she brings a unique and valuable perspective to the team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and grandchildren, as well as watercolor painting and traveling.
Shyane
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Meet Shyane! She has been with the Cornerstone family since 2021 and is our Licensed Veterinary Technician. Since becoming a mom, she has stepped into leadership roles and helps ensure the clinic runs efficiently. She enjoys working with anesthesia, monitoring hospitalized patients, and maintaining organization and inventory. Shyane is incredibly knowledgeable and loves sharing what she knows. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, as well as cooking, baking, and crocheting.
Payton
Veterinary Technician
Meet Payton! She has been with Cornerstone since 2021, when she started as a freshman at Tarleton. After earning her Bachelor’s degree, she now works full-time as a technician. She enjoys performing tasks such as drawing blood and placing IV catheters, especially challenging ones. Payton is passionate about “fear-free” handling to ensure pets feel safe during their visits. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, crocheting, and spending time with her cats, Clyde and Cowboy.
Angela
Veterinary Technician
Meet Angela! She joined Cornerstone in 2023 while completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Tarleton. She plans to attend veterinary school and currently works full-time as a technician. Angela enjoys farm calls and tackling diagnostic challenges. Outside of work, she loves live music, baking, and traveling with her Great Dane, Elmer.
Amanda
Kennel Technician
Meet Amanda! She joined Cornerstone in 2024 as a kennel technician while pursuing her degree at Tarleton. She aspires to open her own veterinary practice one day. Amanda enjoys learning new skills and expanding her knowledge in veterinary medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
Molly
Kennel Technician
Meet Molly! She has been with Cornerstone since 2025 as a kennel technician. Molly loves working with animals and especially enjoys seeing familiar boarding pets return. She takes pride in making sure each pet leaves clean and well cared for. Outside of work and attending classes at Tarleton, she enjoys rock climbing, crafting, and traveling with her puppy, Cricket.
Caitlyn
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Meet Caitlyn! She joined Cornerstone in 2025 as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She is detail-oriented and enjoys tasks such as preparing surgical packs and collecting samples. Caitlyn is passionate about learning and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Tarleton. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her Labrador retriever, Fisher.
Hadley
Kennel Technician
Meet Hadley! Hadley has worked with us since 2025 as a Kennel Technician but she actually grew up around our clinic, as her dad is a veterinarian that used to work with us. Hadley enjoys learning and is always asking questions to broaden her knowledge. She loves all of her coworkers and also loves that we function well as a team. We love her, too!! Outside of work, Hadley is deeply involved in FFA and showing her cattle.
