Dr.Sam H. AdamsDVMAssociate VeterinarianAlthough he was raised in Midland, Texas, Dr. Sam Adams considers himself to be a native of Erath County. His parents purchased the land he resides on now, Counts Creek Ranch, in the late 1950's.
Dr. Adams attended the University of Missouri on a football scholarship and graduated from their veterinary school in 1974. Dr. Adams then went on to establish University Animal Hospital in Fort Worth in 1976. He successfully practiced there for 34 years while they raised their family of three girls, Allison, Hayden, and Lauren.
Dr. Adams was recognized by The Fort Worth Business Press as the first Veterinary recipient of the Veterinary Health Care Hero Award. His practice was also listed as one of Texas’ top 10 Veterinary Hospitals in 1989 in Texas Monthly Magazine. Dr. Adams now looks forward to serving you with the same dedication and quality care he has given his clients throughout his career.
Lauren AdamsDVMVeterinarian/OwnerDr. Lauren Adams started her career at Bandera Veterinary Clinic after graduating from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She spent three years practicing mixed animal medicine in the hill country prior to joining the team at Cornerstone in 2011.
She is a native of Ft. Worth, TX, who grew up in a family of three sisters highly influenced by the veterinary industry. Her father & inspiration, Dr. Sam Adams, ran a successful veterinary practice in Fort Worth for over 30 years prior to establishing Cornerstone Animal Hospital. The many hours spent as a youth at the clinic as well as time at the family ranch provided her a wealth of firsthand experience in many aspects of animal husbandry and care prior to becoming a veterinarian. She purchased the clinic from her father in 2017 and now enjoys providing excellent veterinary care for your large and small animals here in Stephenville.
